Hi Stephy ,

Sometimes, the Win10 update have a strange habit to disable monitor , so present the current issue.

Please, press Win+X keys , or simply do right click on Start button.

Choose “device manager”.

Take a look under “monitor”. In similar cases, Generic PnP Monitor is disabled (arrow down).

Just do a right click, and choose “enable”.

Otherwise , it could be issue with graphic driver. Here should be HP support page for Your PC:

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=6732463&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4192

Download and run latest Nvidia driver.

All the best!!!

Hi Stephy ,

In alternative , you can download and run latest driver from Nvidia site:

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

As you can see on the page , bottom choise is „Auto-Detect Your GPU“ , it should be a best choice , if you are not sure what driver to pick up.

OK , lett see.

Can you please , open device manager , what can you see under vido card?

Do you have HP Support assistent? Does it gave you some updates to do?

What is the version of Win10 (32 or 64)?

Does it come preinstaled?

HP Recommended

yes i do have hp support assistant and the laptop has win10 64bit that came preinstalled and what i can see is intel (R) HD Graphics family

Then you can use Intel driver update utility here:

If the issue persist , you can create the case and ask for support here:
