Hi @mark281,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your browser window might be stuck or there may be a display setting causing this issue. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this.
Use Keyboard Shortcuts
- Select the Window: Make sure Edge is the active window. You can do this by clicking on it or selecting it from the taskbar.
- Move the Window:
- Press Alt + Space to open the window menu.
- Press M to select "Move."
- Use the arrow keys to move the window. Once you start moving it, you can use the mouse to place it where you want.
Cascade Windows
- Right-click on the taskbar (an empty area).
- Select "Cascade windows." This should rearrange all open windows and might reset the Edge window to a manageable position.
Maximize the Window
- Maximize Edge: Click the maximize button (the square in the top-right corner) or press Win + Up arrow to maximize the window. This should bring the browser to the center of the screen.
Adjust Display Settings
- Right-click on the Desktop: Select "Display settings."
- Check for Multiple Displays: Ensure the display settings are correct, especially if you use multiple monitors. Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause windows to appear off-screen.
Reset Edge
If the above methods don't work, you can try resetting Edge settings.
- Open Edge.
- Click the three dots in the upper right corner and select "Settings."
- Scroll down and click "Reset settings."
- Click "Restore settings to their default values."
Check for Display Driver Updates
- Open Device Manager: Right-click the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Expand Display Adapters: Right-click your display adapter and select "Update driver."
- Follow the Prompts: Choose to search automatically for updated driver software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
