Hello,
I have experienced a not very loud buzzing or some scratching noise couple months ago but the noises were gone. However, the last couple days my laptop makes very annoying loud buzzing sounds for few seconds and the screen also freeze. I thought I maybe have to upgrade my windows but nothing happened.
the sounds only appear while watching whether i use headphones or not. today, my laptop froze and I had to turn it off to work again. this happens around 5 times a day.
Thank you,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the laptop has a buzzing noise and frozen screen,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Does the computer lockup when a particular application is turned on or is it random?
Is it constantly making the buzzing sound or is that based on a certain application as well?
have you done any hardware tests to identify the issue?
While you respond to that, here's what I recommend:
Use this article for Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 10, 😎 for notebook computers.
Step 1: Unlock the unresponsive computer
Step 2: Update device drivers
As a part of troubleshooting, update drivers and software for your computer using Windows Update. For more information and detailed instructions, see HP PCs - Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Window 10, 😎.
Step 3: Update the BIOS
If lockups still occur, update the BIOS. HP releases BIOS updates that can resolve problems related to lockups. Go to the HP Software & Driver Download (in English) page and look for a BIOS update. If a BIOS update is available, download and install the update according to the instructions on the download page.
If a BIOS update is not available or does not resolve the lockups, continue to the next step.
Step 4: Check and clean air vents to prevent overheating
If the computer locks up at random times or shortly after turning on the computer, the computer might be getting too hot or a hardware component might be failing. Dusty or dirty air passages and vents can cause overheating.

Hello,
Thank you for your help. I download the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI two days ago and the buzzing sound with the frozen screen is gone. i am not sure how or why it stopped but yeah it did. yet, I can hear a crackling sound in the background while watching anything, especially Youtube. I see several upgrades in my HP Support Assistant including a Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver. I will update them and I will let you know if the crackling sound is still there.
Thank you very much
