My camera does not turn on.
The camera shutter key LED light on the keyboard remains on no matter how many times I press it to turn it off. My webcam is practically useless.
I need help.
From what I can see, everyone using this HP model ( HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC) is experiencing the same issue.

Hi, I had the same problem and found a simpler solution which does not require to open the device or to stress the battery by letting it run empty.
Just shutdown the notebook and hold WIN+B keys while you power it on again and keep both keys pressed for some time. This will start a BIOS reset. After this reset was finished and the notebook restarted again the issue was solved in my case. So this is definetly a BIOS (update) issue.
Hope this helps.

Problem solved. I unscrewed the computer, disconnected the battery, and again reconnected it. After I switched it back on, the shutter key worked. I am afraid to turn off the camera using the shutter key again.
