The chasis under the upper right corner of the Top Cover, is defective and has boken loose from the Top Cover. The Chasis and the screw through the bottom Base Closure, give the right hinge for the Display Panel it's support when opening and closing.
Contacting HP Support, I was told it was not an "In Home" repair. Regardless of the CarePack 3year/3Day In Home Extended Warranty. Which a "Software" issue is not covered as an "In Home" repair, or covered at all in some cases.
This is clearly "not" a Software issue. The Customer Service Rep would only send me a box to send my machine to them. I clearly stated, I did not want a box,I want what I paid for !! I was not permitted to speak with another customer Service Rep, nor a supervisor. The "horror" stories that are written in the reviews, of not honporing warranty's, sending in machines to be repaired, coming back worse, or not at all. These stories seem hardly believable, until it happens to you.
