HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have recently got an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1xxx (Product Number: 133W8EA#ABU ).

I want to connect two external  monitors - the screens have HDMI input. I've connected one screen via the notebook's HDMI port and I'm trying to connect the second screen using the USB-C adaptor I purchased on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083DZ1X27/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This adaptor should be plug & play but the windows not detect second screen. I tested the Usb c adapter on my dell computer and it's working. How can I connect a second external monitor to this notebook?

Many thanks!

Your machine is an HP Gaming 15-ec1001na, its specs

                  https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06645258

It only has  1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which is not compatible with your adapter, it does not support Alt mode for video out.

Regards.
