I have a HP Chromebook x360 14" touchscreen (product 7UL19UA, model 14-DA0012DX) that has a cracked screen. How do I know if just the digitizer/touchscreen is cracked or if the LCD screen is also cracked? Do I replace them individually or is there a part that includes both the digitizer and screen? I looked in the manual and it makes reference to a display assembly (part number L36904-001 - "HU LCD 14'INCH FHD BV LED UWVA"). Is that the part I need and does that part include both the digitizer/touchscreen and the LCD screen? Where can I buy it? When I look in the HP PartSurfer, it tells me that the part is not orderable from the HP Parts store.

Hi @daved5

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the display replacement.

You need display assembly. Spare Part#  L36904-001

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.

Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link.

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from, here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The part is not available in the HP Parts store and I’m having trouble finding it online. Is the display assembly one part or do I have to buy a LCD screen and digitizer separately? I saw one site that was selling part L36904-001 as both a lcd screen and a digitizer/touchscreen (2 separate parts under the same part number).
