Digital pen compatibility

I have just bought a HP ENVY - 13-ad027tx for my daughter and would like to know how to annotate using a digital pen in windows ink. Is it compatible with any digital pens and if it isn’t, what’s the best way to annotate documents. Thanks

As I understand you want to know if the HP Active Stylus/Pen Compatible with HP Envy notebook,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution: 

As you suggested, I did go through the Maintenance and Service guide for your PC and did not find any information about the support for Active stylus, nor there is one mentioned in the compatibility list. 

That said, you can always get a passive stylus as it works on any touchscreen device regardless of its brand or model,
