I understand that you're seeing a grey Caps Lock on/off notification on your HP Pavilion notebook and would like to disable it permanently. Let’s try a few steps to resolve this:
Disable On-Screen Notifications from HP Software
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Go to the Startup tab.
- Look for HP Quick Launch, HP Hotkey Support, or HP OSD (On-Screen Display).
- Right-click and select Disable.
- Restart your laptop and check if the issue is resolved.
Disable On-Screen Display from Windows Settings
- Open Settings (Win + I).
- Go to Ease of Access > Keyboard.
- Look for any options related to On-Screen Notifications or Toggle Keys and disable them.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
