Hi,

is there any (easy) way how to turn of display? Only display...

You see, I connect TV as an second display -> extend display  -> play the movie on TV and work or something on laptop screen. But when I put down laptop I need to turn of display and only watch TV (second display) -> the laptop display light disturbs me, especialy at night.

Some other laptos have this one button -> turn screen off and on again - easy way

Sorry if this question is already explained somewhere in here. I couldn't find it.

Hi! @LukeCZ,

Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.

You cannot completely turn off the display of the laptop. However, you can make the display blank on the laptop.

Try the steps recommended below.

1. Plug the monitor's power cord into an outlet, and then plug the video cable into the video output port on your laptop and the video input port on the monitor. Turn the monitor on.

2. Right-click the Windows desktop and select "Screen Resolution" from the drop-down list. If both monitors aren't already displayed in the new window, click the "Detect" button.

3. Select "Show Desktop Only on 2" from the Multiple Displays drop-down. By default, the laptop's display is listed as Display 1, so switching to Display 2 puts the picture on the second monitor, while the laptop monitor remains blank.

Let me know if this helps!

Take Care!

No, this is not the solution - but still thank you for your response.

this is exactly what i do NOT want - "Show Desktop Only on 2" - because I'm using laptop monitor too with its own desktop.

I want extended desktop on both monitors and just turn off laptop's monitor while still using TV monitor. Just turn off the lights not the whole two desktop "system".

Thank you
