HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-es0000 (268U3AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have 2 monitors for work - one screen activates when I start up my laptop - the other gets no signal - I have gone thru the virtual assistant which was a waste of time - anyone have some advice on how to configure my laptop to see both monitors?

What is your Laptop PC 15-es0000 (268U3AV)  machine ? It cold be one of the following ones

              https://support.hp.com/lt-en/product/hp-envy-x360-15.6-inch-2-in-1-laptop-pc-15-es0000/2100286051/mo...

For example :  HP ENVY x360 Convert 15-es0003ca

Your machine should have same ports as the above machine. How do you connect your external monitors ? Normally you can connect 2 external monitors to your machine

  • M1: Direct HDMI to HDMI,
  • M2: Direct USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to compatible DP or HDMI.

You can setup single cable using HP USB-C G5 dock.

I have one monitor plugged into the laptop with the HDMI port - then the 2nd with the extension hub that came with the laptop.

The monitor on the hub activates - but the one directly plugged in with the laptop HDMi doesn't get signal - I am hoping this is a setting issue?

Any advice is welcomed

We need to know

  • What is the extension hub that came with the laptop ?
  • What is your machine ? Is it on the list on my previous reply ?
  • Can you use HDMI port for an external as ONE monitor, totally remove the extension hub  ?

Regards.
