HP Spectre x360 - 13 - aw0120tu, HP G5 Dock
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I have been trouble getting my two external monitors connected from my HP Spectre x360 - 13 - aw0120tu through HP G5 dock. One monitor uses Display port while the other uses HDMI. The monitors just would not turn once the system goes to sleep or if all the display goes off. Even restart doesn't help. The only way it works at the moment is if I plug the cable off and then back on or by shutting down and turning on the system again.

This is increasingly frustrating and I would appreciate if anyone has a fix to this. Thanks.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the external monitors are not turning on after waking up the computer from sleep.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp108501-109000/sp108759.exe

Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp102001-102500/sp102204.exe

If you continue facing the issue, then update the docking station firmware from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101240.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
