WAS WORKING ON MY COMPUTER AND A SCREEN CAME UP AND SAID SOMETHING LIKE SOMETHING WENT WRONG MUST RESTART. THEN THE SCREEN WENT BLACK. I’VE RESTARTED THE COMPUTER BY HOLDING DOWN THE POWER BUTTON BUT STILL A BLACK SCREEN. ANY SUGGESTIONS. THE COMPUTER IS JUST A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OLD AND NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE.

Hello ROLIVA68,
I understand that your device has crashed and now the screen remains black.
I'd like to help you however I need more information:
- Does the screen remains black or blank?
- Can you see the HP logo after powering on the device?
- Can you hear beeping sounds or see LED lights blinking?
- What is your device model number?
Refer to this document to find it: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
Do NOT post the serial number. - Did any hardware changes take place on the laptop recently?
- Did any software changes or updates happen?
Meanwhile, I would recommend you to:
- Turn off the laptop
- Disconnect the AC Power from the device
- (If possible) Remove the battery
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds
- Plug in the AC Adapter and the battery
- Turn on the laptop
Let me know if that helped,
Take care,
