HP Envy DV7 notebook
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an HP Envy DV7 with Windows 8.1 OS. It is 7 years old as it was purchased 1/1/2013. This is the first issue I have had with this laptop.  May 2, the screen began flickering from the bottom, it looks like it is trying to double the screen. The flickering is about 1.5" from the bottom of the screen, and constant. I have attempted resetting to LKGC of April 30, and updated the drivers for the display card. However, this caused the flickering to become rapid. While this flickering is happening, none of the tiles or task bar can be used. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please check if the screen is Flickering in the BIOS

If the screen flickers in the BIOS, then it would be a hardware issue and you can check with HP Support for available Service Options
