I just talked with HP today. It seems there is nothing wrong with the laptop as well the monitor. It just couldn't work together. I am still trying to solve it with HP.

Hi I've been having this problem & solved it by connecting my Spectre X360 to the monitor using a mini DP to DP cable.  The cable was cheap to buy and I've gone from having crashes several times a day to NONE since I started using the new cable.  Hope this works for other people too.

I've had this problem since I got my x360 about 2 years ago but put up with it until recently.  The solution is to switch the cable connecting the Spectre to the monitor. I'm now using a mini DP to DP cable and haven't had a single crash in the 5 weeks since I made the switch.  Sorted.

I have and old version of Spectre, as well, and the same problem.

Now, after reading a lot of forums about the same issue, I'm trying a very simple solution.

I was reading about the different transmission capabilities of HDMI cables and realize that maybe I'm using an old version of HDMI cable.  I extracted the High Speed one from my TV and testing it between my HP laptop and Samsung monitor.

I hope it works.   I'll let you know.

Marcos.
