@Emanuele91, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HDMI Connection Issues on HP Laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're experiencing issues with an HDMI connection on your HP laptop, here's a step-by-step guide you can follow to try and resolve the problem:
Check Connections: Ensure the HDMI cable is securely plugged into both the laptop and the TV. Even subtle movements can cause connectivity issues.
Alternate HDMI Port: If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, try switching to another port to see if it resolves the issue.
Display Settings on Laptop: Make sure your laptop is set to extend its display or duplicate its display on the TV. You can do this by:
- Pressing Windows + P and selecting Duplicate or Extend.
- Alternatively, right-click on the desktop, select Display settings, and configure multiple displays.
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your Intel Iris Xe graphics drivers are up-to-date. You can do this via:
- Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters, right-click on Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and choose Update driver.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the HP Support Assistant to check for drivers and updates tailored to your specific HP laptop model.
HDMI Resolution Settings: Check the resolution settings on your laptop to ensure they are compatible with your TV. Lower the resolution temporarily to see if the issue persists.
BIOS Update: Check for any available BIOS updates through HP Support that could potentially address hardware compatibility issues.
Power Cycle Devices: Turn off both the laptop and the TV. Disconnect the HDMI cable, then reconnect it and turn the devices back on.
Check TV Settings: Ensure that the TV is set to the correct input source for the HDMI connection.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
