If you've checked the HP site for the latest drivers for your laptop model, you may have noticed that AMD drivers have been added. Finally, the laptop > HDMI > TV connection issues I have been having are 100% fixed.

What I did was - I uninstalled the previous drivers using DDU in safe mode. Then I downloaded and installed the drivers on the HP site. Check the page for your laptop model for the appropriate drivers to install.

The TV is recognized now and am able to extend my desktop.

Apparently only the newer models have W10 drivers released by HP as of right now.

Also, make sure to turn 10-bit pixel format support off in Catalyst Control Center.

Please can you list/detail the models which the fix applies to?

Hey @Wytsu4,

It would be easier to check your model here for drivers.  Check under the Graphic drivers for Windows 10, to see if they have listed any.

You could  try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix any updates that have not come through for Windows 10.  Please restart the Notebook twice to make sure all update have been completed!

Here is a document that shows how to update drivers that are not working correctly with Windows 10.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

BTW, I received driver version 15.200.1065.0 for my AMD 8650G + 8670M Dual Graphics card. I got the update through Device Manager.

I don't see this version on AMD's website though.

So for those still having the HDMI issue, try to see if you have any updates available through Device Manager.

26/Aug/2015 - Still no ATI Graphics Card drivers to support the HDMI port for an external monitor.

Hi @Wytsu4,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

In the Device Manager, click the arrow next to Display Adaptors to expand that category
Right-click on Graphics Family and select Update Driver Software for both if you have them.
Choose the option to Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.

The Notebook should find and automatically install the updated driver
After the installation is complete, restart your Notebook.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

HP Pavilion dv7-4083cl : Still NO drivers updates at all. Windows 10 cannot run properly. The ATI card does not work. HDMI output does not work.

BTW, what's the point of the "Updated" column here http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv7-4000-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-serie...

It says "Aug 7, 2015", which is 100% false. The dirvers are from 2011. They never were updated.

HP sucks. I'll never purchase HP again. The manchine is not that old, and it was not a 'cheap' model.
