I recently bought a HP 15-fd 1xxx laptop. I have added 2 external monitors, 1 is connected directly with my laptop HDMI output, the other is connected via the Type C 3.2 USB laptop connectiion to an external hub with an HDMI port. The laptop recognizes both external monitors, however, it seems it will only extend screen to one of them, the other will only duplicate the laptop screen. I would like to have both monitors extend. I also have an HP Envy that I am able to accomplish this on, I am not sure why the new HP 15 won't work this way. Is there a limitation on the graphics card or something? Any help?

Hi @ratkins,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting multiple external monitor to your Laptop.
Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.
A) Perform a power drain on your PC.
1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.
2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.
5) Power on the PC and wait for the PC to boot into Windows now.
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.
