Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!
HP Recommended

I have a new 13"  HP Envy Laptop, less than 3 weeks old.  The recommended screen size is the one that is set.  I read the other posts on this site where users expressed extremely small size on the screen for some programs.  None of your suggestions about resetting the resolution has helped.  In fact, the not-recommended resolution sizes create a screen much smaller than the size of the 13" notebook which is no more acceptable than the small unreadable print program display when the program is opened.  And changing the resolution does nothing to make the program more readable.  I need to know how to reset the screen for these programs only.  Many other programs display correctly.

None of the solutions posted in this forum have worked for me, NONE. The problem is some of the programs open so small that I literally need a microscope to read than. I can open the same program on two other laptop of different brand names and not have the problem. The problem has to do with the laptop and HP needs to fix it because I wouldn't have purchased the laptop if I knew HP has no idea how to fix it.
