HP Notebook - 17-by0008ca
Microsoft Windows 11

The display hinge mounting screws which were secured on the plastic bottom cover came off.

When opening /closing the lid causing the laptop's bottom cover to rip open. Laptop was out of warranty, as I am using for last 3 years. I seldom open the lid as I was using an external monitor. But this issue seems to be  due to the poor quality of the plastic, that did not firmly hold the screws.

What are the options I have now to get this issue fixed ? Will HP value their customers and and fix their product quality issue ?

I see many similar complains on all over this  HP forum and many other forums like  bestbuy , on different models of HP . Looks like HP never attempted to resolve the low quality plastic  issue, which causing the display hinge screws to come out of the seating. This issue was there for long time on HP models, never acknowledged or resolved.

Why HP adopting this approach  when there is a quality issue the product ? HP need to honor the customers to maintain their trust.
