Hi.
I have had my Omen since November 21 and have probably been having this issue for the majority of the time I have owned it. When connecting to an external monitor, frequently find that the external display may go blank momentarily, parts of the display may go black/disfigured (usually explorer windows) or the laptop may just restart itself when under no stress whatsoever. Laptop is up to date and always has been and it's using AMD tech.
I found a couple of other threads, this one in particular shows the exact same problem I am having but no answer External display issues - HP Support Community - 8521273. This is the other. HP Omen Laptop Screen goes black - HP Support Community - 8276893.
There have been no changes to the setup other than using the advisors. And I've tried several different HDMI cables and 2 different monitors, both which have different resolutions and get the same behaviour. Is this a known issue?

Probably the only resolution to this problem is to RMA your laptop.
HP seems to not care about this problem, laptop is mostly UNUSABLE with this problem.
It is known for more than 6 months and they did nothing.
External display flickers all the time, cannot play any game, neither low-demaning or with high reqs - blank screen blinking.
What I have tried and you may abandon such methods:
- Windows 11 clean reinstall
- disabling Windows autodriver update + DDUinstalling old drivers - reinstalling with freshly downloaded AMD Adrenalin
- installing AMD full install or driver-only
- applying github AMD GPU fix to 'simulate load'
- trying different cables/hubs/monitors/resolutions.
- updating BIOS
Sometimes it helps when u run games in Windowed mode.
However, HP support is ridiculous, waiting for some 'warmer' days when I will not use it (I need to work using my old laptop (sic!)) and going to RMA this bad thing and wanna my money back. No more HP
