HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb091nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My barely one year old HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb091nd has today started to show flickering stripes in the screen. The mostly occur when logging in or when the screen position is altered.

As the laptop is barely 1 year old I was wondering what action I can take at the moment. The problem is not constant, but I would like to prevent it from becoming so possibly even out of it's warranty. It seems like a loose cable or something as such.

Hope to hear from you

Your correct:

Sounds like a loose cable or it could be a cold solder joint.

They will do the same thing when the LCD is flexed.

We test our LCD's by holding the top left and right corners of the LCD.

Push one side while pulling the other about a 1/2" to 1".

If the screen flashes then there is a loose connection somewhere???

Dear Reo,

Thanks for your comment. I have tried moving both corners and the stripes did indeed occur. What do you suggest as my course of action as this laptop is only 1 year old, therefore within the warranty and it seems like a small problem

Kind regards,
