Pavilion X360 14t-CD100 4DZ14AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Pavilion X360  Model #14t-cd100    ProdID#4DZ14AV.  I'm 2 like 2 weeks out of warranty.  Due to Covid, I have not gotten anyone to look at it to give formal diagnose and price to fix.  Talking on phone yields about $600 to fix!!!!!

Lower Right Hinge broke free from top cover.  Caused display unit to pop out. The Glass (I believe is a digitized glass?) cracked from upper right corner to about midscreen.  The Glass is also separating from display.  The tapped brass knurls at the hinge (that are embedded in plastic of the top cover) ripped free from top cover.

Upon reboot of machine, everything appears to work except touchscreen.  Display is sharp, doesnt appear to be pixel loss or strange lines (leads me to believe only glass is cracked).  Reboot using F2 to run touchscreen diagnostic.  The diagnositc with squares shows no response at crack for a few squares.  moving the boxes diagonally does not work at area of crack.  For both tests, everything works.

Using touch screen in windows 10 resulted in jumpy mouse pointer. It appeared the computer was receiving inputs from the touchscreen without even touching it (last opened files would open just staring at the screen). After disable of touchscreen thru device manager, everything working well (except of course closing the cover) on the computer. Display is sharp, doesnt appear to be pixel loss or strange lines (leads me to believe only glass is cracked).

Thoughts?   At worst I assume I need a new top cover, hinges & display with glass.....  I'd like to get a specific build sheet for this laptop......If I have to go that route.    Help!

OK all.  No help from HP - machine is out of warranty by 2weeks (3weeks now).   All I want from HP is the build sheet for my laptop with all part #'s to order the parts AND a service manual showing the teardown of all components (especially the display).  HP can surely help with that?  My msg below to HP rep.

***Yeah,  I kinda figured that would be the case....even if it is only 2weeks or so out of warranty.  Figures.

What I need is a build sheet for my HP.   SO I can order parts without taking everything apart 1st.   I also would like to have a service manual for teardown.   I have already given you my serial number.....surely this is something you can send me??

PLS Let me know.***
