Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello All

I bought a HP Spectre 360 a month ago and realized that it only has 2 USB-C connections and 1 USB-A 3.0 connection. I am currently trying to connect to a TV to watch video, but I ran into an issue. I bought a USB-A 3.0 to HDMI converted and tried connecting to a brand new Hisense LED TV, but after trying to duplicate screen from the PC, nothing happens. The device manager sees an "unknown USB device" but does nothing else.

Hello, @NJMusicMan

I'd suggest using the USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect the laptop to the TV.

Check http://hp.care/2proNOf for detailed information.

If you have any issues, please reply with the complete product number of your HP Spectre. If unsure, please check: http://hp.care/2oPCMBG

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Cheers 🙂

Hello, @NJMusicMan - Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I’d like to help with the PC issue!

Going through your post, I see that you are facing issues while connecting the PC to the TV. I found a wonderful document to help you fix this issue. Follow the steps here: HP PCs - Connecting a monitor, projector, or TV (Windows) | HP® Support

If the issue persists, then try additional steps here: HP Notebook PCs - Overview of HDMI and DVI Connections for PCs | HP® Support

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂

Hello,

I read through the pages but there is no guidance for my issue due to the fact that my HP Spectre does not have DVI, VGA, or HDMI connections.

My question is how to connect my laptop, which only has USB-type C and USB-type A connections to a TV which has USB and HDMI ports.

Thanks for your help.
