This all started back around Fall 2018. For whatever reason the screen to the laptop freaks out at times whenever there are dark pixels on screen. Mainly around the top left corner is where it seems to start. It goes away at times, but it really hinders me when it happens out of no where and refuses to stop. I switched my screen to a different monitor and it's fine there. So it has something to do with the laptop monitor itself.
The laptop screen also leaves some bit of image burn when left still for on something for a more than maybe 5 mintues, but it doesn't leave a screen burn when the computer is turned off.
I'll provide some videos to show what's going on.

Hello,
I am having the exact same issue. Especially the 3rd posted video. It started about a week ago when I was plugging in external monitors. Now, today, it has started happening when the laptop is turned on. I can't do anything due to the screen.
Please advise ASAP.
Thank you.
Regards,
Bob

Hello Fossette,
Thank you for the assist. Below please find the information you’ve requested:
- What is the exact model for your computer?
The computer is a HP Spectre x360 converatible Model 15-ch011dx
- What is the operating system you are using?
I’m using the Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operating system.
- What is the exact issue you are facing?
I’m having nearly the exact same issue as FireFury190:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEA4j29eG0k
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEA4j29eG0k
Only mine appears to be happening when I come out of sleep, hibernate, or a boot up. It goes away after I restart the computer. Sometimes I have to do that several times. Sometimes it starts out flickering upon wake or boot up, but once the Windows login screen appears, the flickering stops. So, it's more like RogerBNY's issue.
- Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
Yes, I have of course kept the operating system and diver patches (including the bios), mostly up to date. I had to update the bios to get off the Windows 10 version that was going out of support.
There have been no hardware changes.
- Have you followed the suggested steps in the thread?
What steps? I don’t see any steps in this thread? However, I did see in another thread the recommendation to roll back the graphics driver. I did try to do that using sp85247.exe. However, I receive the error “this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software”. I also then tried to update the graphics driver by right clicking in device manager and selecting “update driver” which did perform an update. I’m now on version 25.20.100.6615 of the Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver published on 3/8/2019. I did experience the flickering again just after the update. And after going ok most of the weekend, it just did the same thing after it had gone to sleep and I clicked to wake it up.
Thank you again for the assist and let me know if there’s anything else I can try.
Cheers,
Bob
