HP 17 envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

So I had the same issue with my HP envy 17 that many had in that the left hing broke. When i sent it back. It is still under warranty. They wanted to charge me over $600 to fix their own product defect.  DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT IS DEFECTIVE. CHECK OUT THE BLOGS. THIS COMPUTER HAS A SEROIUS DESIGN FLAW AND HP DOES NOT STAND BY IT EVEN WITH A WARRANTY.

@JimLev

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I have been in converstion with a rep, given al the salient details, but your repair team is not providing your team with any information. the computer was sent back unrep[aired saying I damaged it. They saaid they had photo evidence but have not been able to produce it to either myself or you guys. Now what am I supposed to think here?

Hi Rick,

I'm in the UK and have one of these hinge issues with an ENVY 17 and am keen to get it fixed properly.

Does HP have an official global fix for this ? Sounds like they will collect & repair in the US, could I get the same here ?

Many thanks, Tim
