I have an HP Spectre x360-15-df1005ng
and HP tilt Pen 2MY21AA
There is no pressure sensitivity in any app except in whiteboard,
which has extremely bad sensitivity, have to push hard, makes writing impossible.
And I find absolutely no solutions on the HP website.
Its an HP laptop and an HP pen.. but they don't work together???
I'm going crazy here.
last year I got an HP convertible which was advertised to have "realistic drawing function" ( blatant false advertising ) I wanted this so that I could work on the go.
After a month of struggling and trying 2 different pens I found out that in fact the laptop did not support pressure because it was AMD, even though it was advertised to. I ended up trading that laptop for a new Intel one which I was told supported pressure.
Now find that it only supports pressure in one useless app, and so badly it's unusable. My finger works better.
There are no proper pen settings or pen app either.
The HP webpage for my my pen tells me that there are no drivers, yet on other pages I find them saying that drivers are needed. Well what is it?
When I did find the HP pen app - not on the HP site but rather in the MS app store - it told me that the app is not compatible with my device and would not download or install.
I've spoken to many HP agents who were no help, and just kept referring me to different departments.
There is no documentation to be found. Its near impossible to find out which pen works with which laptop, there is no naming convention at all. I see posts on this forum dating back years, all complaining about the same thing. The questions are never solved. What the hell is going on - Do these **bleep** pens work or not HP!?
Best thing I can do now is get a full refund and use the money to buy an ipad and Apple pencil.
At least I know those work together.
Anybody found a solution or should I just give up on HP and make the trade?

Asmita - you are not the first agent to PM me asking for product details.
Which I already mention in my post...
I've complained many many times, spoken to many many agents - nothing happens. It's been over 6 months already.
There is a fundamental problem with HP's product line up. it's not just one faulty pen or laptop.
As I say, there is not even a Bl**dy app for the HP pen, so even if the pressure worked, I wouldn't be able to adjust it, or set the function for the one button I have.. That is shockingly bad. Even kickstarter products made by students on a budget provide better software!
Last year I bought an HP laptop and Pen in the hopes of using it as a sketch pad.
Since then HP has sent me 2 replacement laptops, and I have bought another 2 pens.
that's 6 HP products in total, none worked.
That is absolutely insane!
Your job is to follow the HP steps in the HP service book, ask product numbers and forward them to the other side.
Well I have spent months on other side and can tell you what's there. Incompetence and confusion.
Nobody knows what the hell is going on.
Unless you can send me a laptop and pen that work together, in Photoshop, with an app that allows me to adjust the pen settings - you can't help.
And why not deal with the issue here.. so others can benefit.
Either we get a solution, or we see that HP has no solution for this mess
