I have a hub that has an HDMI port however the display will not work through the hub. I have used this with my work computer, and it is fine.
I queried with the hub manufacturer and was told that the C-port only supports data transfer. How would I go about setting up more than one additional monitor to the laptop. I did research before I bought it and confirmed it could support multiple monitors....
I need the monitors to be separate, not mirrored and need to be able to close the laptop and have them still function.
Thank you for your help!

Hi @Sandytechy20!
Please accept my apologies for the delay in my reply! I really appreciate your help!
The issue I have unfortunately is that my second external display is not being detected when I plug my C port hub into the computer. I have used this hub with my work computer and with one HDMI cable plugged directly into the computer and one into the Hub I am able to use to two larger external displays. When I do this with my new HP it registers everything plugged into the USB ports on the hub, but not the additional screen. I have tried both screens plugged independently into the laptop, and they work fine so it is not a screen issue.
I am hoping you have a solution or possibly some suggestions on how to get this to work. I am wanting to extend the displays rather than mirror them. Is it possible the c port is not set up to be able to see an additional display? If so, how would I ever have known this?
I have an HP Laptop 15s-fq4075TU
Thank you again for your help!
