I was informed that my USB-C allows for Display Port only.

It doesn't take HDMI or VGA.

I was wondering how would I be able to use my USB-C to connect to an HP monitor(VH240a)

I was also informed that using 2 adaptors at the same time won't work either.

I have purchased a USB-C adaptor to HDMI- Didn't work

I have Purchased a USB-C adaptor to Display Port with a Display Port adaptor to HDMI - Didn't work.

Just looking for a solution to add an two monitors to my laptop.

Looks like you have to use USB-A. If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors, please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on market today including some HP products:

or try following HP docks
