Hi
I have HP ENVY 13-aq1001nj and I'm trying to connect it to a Samsung display.
I purchase usb-c to HDMI connector and connected it to the screen using HDMI cable.
At first the screen went on and off and then stabilized and all was o.k.
On the second time the screen searches for the signal and some times finds it and sometimes not.
The Samsung screen is of type c27f390fhm.
What can I do?
Thanks
Moshik

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
USB Type -C only works as a display port if it's a USB Type-C Thunderbolt. You can identify it by the Thunderbolt symbol on the USB Type-C Port
Have you tried with different cables or tried this cable on different computers to ensure it's not a cable issue?
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Did not work either.
I attached a picture of my usb-c port and it seems as if it should display according to what you wrote.
The laptop's manual writes that this is the way.
I don't have two ucb-c adapters so I can not switch. As for cables I tried switching.
I down loaded HPSA yesterday and let it search for updated drivers. It came back saying that everything is up to date on my laptop.

Thanks for keeping us posted
Yes this is a Thunderbolt USB Type- C port.
Since you have all the drivers updated it should work. You mentioned that you do not have another USB Type-C - HDMI adapter which you can check
Any chance you can connect this monitor to another computer and check if the cable works?
