Hi
I have a Pavilion dv6-7012TX notebook. The display screen need to be replaced since there is are line in the center of the screen from top to bottom. Since it is not in warranty, I am trying to get the part and have it replaced. When I looked into the service and maintenance manual there is host of spare parts provided for this screen like the following:
For use on all computer models:
15.6-in, AntiGlare, FHD display assembly in aluminum finish 682066-001
15.6-in, BrightView, HD display assembly in aluminum finish 682065-001
For use only with computer models equipped with an Intel processor:
15.6-in, AntiGlare, FHD display assembly in aluminum finish (for use only on computer models
equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory)
682068-001
15.6-in, AntiGlare, FHD display assembly in magenta finish (for use only on computer models
equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory)
685985-001
15.6-in, AntiGlare, FHD display assembly in magenta finish 685983-001
15.6-in, BrightView, HD display assembly in aluminum finish (for use only on computer models
equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory)
682067-001
15.6-in, BrightView, HD display assembly in magenta finish (for use only on computer models
equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory)
685984-001
15.6-in, BrightView, HD display assembly in magenta finish 685982-001
My question here is:
1. How to identify which part number is used in the laptop?
2. Which one do I need to order for?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks & Regards

@SRRamana
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 15.6" diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366 x 768) installed on the PC.
This is the part number: 682067-001 and this part is NO LONGER SUPPLIED. I would suggest you can go for a new computer instead of investing in this display replacement.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi @Robin1941
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the with the display part number.
Your Notebook PC has a 18.4-inch, AntiGlare, high-definition, dual-lamp display assembly (includes 2 WLAN antenna transceivers and cables, webcam, microphones, and logo). Part# 577001-001
I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the replacement part.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for trying Asmita, but your website for Canada no longer supports my dv8t1000cto model with any information as it is more than 10 years old. I have searched the internet 3rd party websites and come up with several hits on the part number you suggested but any I have seen show this part as "discontinued". Do you know of any other way to chase down this part? Again, thanks for at least coming up with the part number for me so I can keep trying.

Hi again Asmita. After my last post I went back to the web and found this site that claims to have over 100 of these in stock:
https://www.laptopinventory.com/ModelDetail.php/HP/DV%20Series/DV8T-1000/LCD%20Screen/756
The cost is around 250 US$ which makes it prohibitive for a very old computer but if anyone else is following this discussion there is an answer to the question I asked you in my last message. Thanks again for coming up with the HP part number.
