Hi@MUIGAI, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Good Day. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community.  I reviewed the post regarding HDMI issues with the computer. Fabulous description and excellent troubleshooting were done by you. Great job! Kudos to you on that score.

For me to assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you connect this computer to another external TV or screen it and check if it works?
  • Did you try multiple HDMI cables?
  • Please provide the complete model# of the computer to assist you better.

For now please try these steps:

  • Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
  • Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
  • Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphics drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2syreDe  after following the on-screen instructions and selecting the correct Operating system.
  • If it still does not fix the issue, please perform the relevant steps for HDMI related issues from this link: http://hp.care/2rKIvXg regarding video issues. If there is no hardware issue with the computer, this should do the trick for you.

@MUIGAI,

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
