I was updating BIOS since my Stream 11 had that particular update available. I got stuck at restarting for 15+ minutes. When the screen went black I never got a log in screen. I currently have a black screen with the power light lit up. The Stream is completely non-responsive and I don't believe the battery is even charging when plugged in. We've had this notebook 5 days. Please help.

Same problem here. We have a Stream 11 product number N5x86ua#aba. Had about a couple months, recently upgraded to Windows 10. Earlier this evening the keyboard was non-responsive, so did a shutdown. The screen went black, like no input black, but the light on the power switch, and the power indicator on the side stayed lit. I've tried holding down the power button for as long as a minute and nothing happened. No change at all. Power lights on, no screen.

I'm having the exact same issue. Not sure if it was caused by some automatic HP updates... I set the laptop to sleep mode and now it's just a black screen and the power button is lit. The caps lock can not light up if I click on it. The computer is about 2 months old.

I just had this same issue happen right now to my go stream laptop and it's only, 1 month old. Power button is on, charging light is working, and caps button is blinking at same time as power button is on. How can I fix it?

Did any of you figure out this problem or get some help? I'm having the same issue and no forum seems to give a reply they just quote the some problem! Rubbish laptop, barely used and already broken. Not happy HP

I didn't really figure out what happened. I had to let the battery die. When I plugged it in and booted up it started right away. New problem is that my wireless keeps dropping and I get "Secured - No internet" message. I guess that's what we get for buying a $150 laptop. Lol
