Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi Everyone My Windows is Windows 10, version 1903, Build: 18362.778. I have this issue even with the older version of Windows 10. When moving my screen, sometimes I see the Graphics adapter is not responding and the screen display is being frozen. That is, I cannot see anything clearly or move the cursor of the mouse.(screenshot below). When I try removing the screen back, then everything is back okay. It's not a continuous issue, and but it's annoying. Moreover, when my HP laptop is loading, I even cannot see the screen displays the image clearly.(screenshot below) I don't know if it's a Graphics adapter-related hardware problem or it is just a software issue. So, I don't know if I'll need to disassemble my laptop, and check if the Graphics adapter is installed correctly or not. I about two times took apart my laptop by myself. So, I don't think I'll be faced with an issue disassembling it. I'd very much appreciate it if you could help me.

@cooperator

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

  • If this fails service the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

All steps failed. But, I am hesitant to update the BIOS since I am afraid that if it failed, I will lost my data on my notebook.

Also, I don't think that updating BIOS can fix Graphics-related issues.

I have followed his steps from update Windows 10 to checking updates on the HP Support Assistant. Also, the Version of HP Support Assistant is 8.8.26.0.13 I already have installed on my Windows 10.
But, Windows 10 appeared to me to be up to date.
Also, there no updates shown in the 'Updates' tab, but only "Messages" tab has new messages.
I don't think that 'Messages' tab is important at all since it looks to be just notifications. Though I am still stuck on what it meant by 'messages' tab since I only see 'Remind Me' drop menu in front of each message.
This is the screen shot after being edited.

My issue is related to either Graphics software or Graphics hardware.
