I installed the most recent non-beta driver. Not doing so well for me.  I hate MS. Everything was fine until that last long update.  It changed settings and worse of all, the crashing intel driver.

Same situation here, i7.

Did some more research and Intel seems to think the beta driver has a chance with the i7 processor.

Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to your driver. Intel recommends you contact your computer manufacturer for the latest system specific updates and technical support information.

However, you could try uninstalling current graphics driver and installing this Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40]

If issue persists try uninstalling current and installing Download Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40]

Maybe I need to uninstall the old driver and then install the new one(s). I've just been "updating" the driver with the new one. And it may be keeping some old settings and dll's. That's a little scary to me. What happens to your computer when there's no graphics driver on it?

20.19.15.4326  it's the only driver working on my 3 computers. No other problems after 1 month

Two questions:  If I have a new Spectre 360 and it says i7 that means it's included in the new driver update, right?  Second question. I've just been updating the driver and NOT uninstalling the old one.  Is this OK or should I uninstall the old one before installing the new one?  Thanks for any help or advice.

I don't think it makes any difference aside from the fact that you probably won't able to roll back after the update. Nothing really dramatic will happen will you uninstalled the driver. Windows will automatically install a generic display driver when no specific display driver is detected.

Thank you, PotatoTomato.  I had this vision of a black screen and no way to fix it because I couldn't see a web page.  I always go to the worst scenario. Not one of my better traits.

i have an HP Envy x360 with the exact problem , im a civil engineer and cant open autocad with crashing the display driver, tried to update the driver but couldnt because HP tweaked thee driver..

NEED to have this fixed ASAP

i use AutoCAD on daily basis.

if anyone has a solution i wolud really be thankfull

i have the same problem and says my driver is up to date.. still with the same problem.

Don't update it via the device manager. Try the beta driver from Intel's site. Look it up using the HD 520 Keyword.

As mentioned earlier in this thread the driver will most likely break the sleep-wake process but I reckon it will at least able to run AutoCAD just fine. You probably have to replace sleep with hibernate to get around the sleep bug.
