Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my touchpad not working. My laptop is an HP Pavilion Windows 11. I had tried following YouTube tutorials, but I do not see nor find the touchpad on/off setting. I also cannot see the mice and other pointing devices on my device manager. Any tips or help are greatly appreciated! I am not the best at technology, but I will try my best to provide any needed information!

@Diana1223, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Touchpad Issues on HP Pavilion Running Windows 11!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Pavilion's touchpad is not working and you cannot find the touchpad settings or the touchpad in Device Manager, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check for Touchpad Settings in Windows
- Open Windows Settings: Click on the Start Menu and select 'Settings.'
- Navigate to Devices: Select 'Bluetooth & devices' and then 'Touchpad.'
- Check Touchpad Settings: Ensure the touchpad is turned on. If you do not see the touchpad settings, it may indicate an issue with the driver or touchpad hardware.
Step 2: Update or Reinstall Touchpad Driver via Device Manager
- Open Device Manager: Right-click on the Start Menu and select 'Device Manager.'
- Check Hidden Devices: Click on 'View,' and then select 'Show hidden devices.' Look for 'Mice and other pointing devices' or 'Human Interface Devices' to find the touchpad driver.
- Update Driver: If you find the touchpad driver, right-click and select 'Update driver.' Follow the prompts to update.
- Reinstall Driver: If updating does not work, right-click on the touchpad driver and select 'Uninstall device.' Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Step 3: Use HP Support Assistant
- Download HP Support Assistant: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, you can download it from the HP Support Assistant page.
- Run Diagnostics: Open HP Support Assistant and navigate to the 'My devices' tab. Select your device and run a diagnostics check on the touchpad.
Step 4: Use Windows Update
- Open Windows Update: Click on the Start Menu, then go to 'Settings' > 'Update & Security' > 'Windows Update.'
- Check for Updates: Click on 'Check for updates' to ensure you have the latest system updates and drivers installed.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
