HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-d3000 (2P5F3AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The laptop screen has gone dark. Started gradually but now completely dark. Brightness buttons do not change anything. When attached to external monitor screen/images are fine, so just on the laptop it happens. I ran the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics and all tests PASSED. Wondering if there is a screen lamp that would burn out? If so, best steps to replace?

Hi @Khenna,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the display issue.

Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Please mark this post as Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
