HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My laptop keyboard and mouse is not working. When I was using my laptop it suddenly stops. I have tried all possible solutions that I know.

I had done a hard reset, uninstall a keyboard and mouse driver also I have done system restore but none work.

So could you suggest me how I can solve my issue.

@divesh25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Have you checked with an external mouse and keyboard?

I recommend you run a test on the keyboard and mouse follow the steps in the below article.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04499777

If the test pass, then perform a reset on the computer following the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

External keyboard and mouse are working fine only laptop keyboard and mouse are not working.

Only brightness control keys are working sometime when I don't press any other key if I press any other key then it also stop functioning.

On pressing F2 on startup there is no option for keyboard and mouse testing there only harddisk testing option is there.

@divesh25,

This looks like you have the old Hardware diagnostics, I would suggest you install the latest version of Hardware diagnostics on your PC, using this link.

Once done, I would suggest you run the test on the keyboard and mouse and check if that helps.

Let me know the outcome.

Thank you and have a great day!
