OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-en1000 (2L1F1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I used to be able to have a second display on my laptop. Suddenly, I can no longer detect multiple displays. When I go through Settings, to "Detect Other Display" I get "We didn't detect other displays."

Yes, all the cables are connected and yes, the display is on. In fact, it works fine with any other computer except my Omen - even though it DID work perfectly fine a while ago.

It isn't the port. I have tested two different ports - HDMI and the mini-port with a hub connecting a VGA cable. Neither work on my Omen, but everything works fine when I have tried with two other computers.

I also get a weird pop-up now when I reboot - don't know if this is related, but it didn't used to do this:

LIBCURL INITIALIZED!!!!!

LIBCURL SSL ENABLED !!!!!

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Hi @Shallow,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with connecting multiple displays to your OMEN gaming laptop, and you've also mentioned a pop-up message related to LIBCURL during reboots. Let's try to troubleshoot the display issue first.

Here are some steps you can take to address the multiple display problem:

Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues. You can visit the official HP website or use the device manager to update your graphics drivers.

Check Display Settings: Verify your display settings in Windows. Right-click on the desktop, select "Display settings," and make sure the multiple displays option is configured correctly. You can try extending or duplicating displays from this menu.

Restart the Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart your OMEN laptop and check if the multiple displays are detected afterward.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Windows updates can include fixes for various issues, including display problems.

Regarding the LIBCURL pop-up, it might be a separate issue, but we can address it as well. The LIBCURL message suggests some initialization during boot. This could be related to a program or service starting up.

For the LIBCURL issue:

Check Startup Programs: Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), go to the "Startup" tab, and look for any programs that might be related to LIBCURL. You can disable unnecessary startup programs and see if the pop-up persists.

Scan for Malware: Perform a thorough malware scan on your laptop using your preferred antivirus software. Malware can sometimes cause unexpected pop-ups and system behavior.

Check System Logs: Review the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages or warnings related to LIBCURL. This may provide more information about the source of the pop-up.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
