Hi @Vishalakshi02,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have trouble with the HP laptop touchscreen, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

Key steps to try:

  • Check touchscreen settings: Go to Windows Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensure the touchscreen is enabled.
  • Update drivers: Access Device Manager, navigate to "Human Interface Devices", right-click on "HID-compliant touch screen" and select "Update driver" to install the latest version.
  • Calibrate the touchscreen: Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad > Additional settings > Calibrate to adjust touchscreen accuracy.
  • Check for Windows updates: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date.
  • Run hardware diagnostics: Some HP laptops have built-in diagnostics tools accessible during boot to check for hardware issues.
  • Scan for malware: Run a virus scan to check for potential malware interfering with the touchscreen.
  • Restart your computer: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary software glitches.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

First my sound quit, went to best buy as it was under a year old. They fixed it and then it happened again. No big deal I have Bluetooth to use for my classes (annoying) anywho. Now my touch screen will not work either and it's not even two years old.....
