Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T04AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I want to output my laptop to another monitor, like a second screen extended from this. Will I get a 1080p*165hz
Here is my laptop spec sheet.

1 USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (HP Sleep and Charge); 1 USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 HDMI 2.1; 1 RJ-45; 1 AC smart pin; 1 headphone/microphone combo

At the shop, the employee said that "it can only output max at120hz", but when I called the technical service they said " It could output at 165hz completely fine" so I got confused, wasn't HDMI 2.1 output 1080p*165hz easily?

My monitor has a HDMI 2.0 port.
Thanks to anyone who answer my question : )

And also if I use type c to the docking station that has 1.4 DisplayPort will display 1080p*165hz.

Hi @pattarapon

In both cases HDMI or DP should be able to use the 165 frequency at 1080p.

As long as you use cables with the same version of ports
