Hi, I have an Hp Elite Book 745. Whenever my laptop is plugged in, the brightness is great, but whenever it isn't charging, the brightness is very dim even on max. I have tried numerous methods to fix the problem but none of them work.

When I tried to change the plan setting, the adjust plan brightness option wasn't there. I've disabled the Generic PnP Monitor and then enabled it again, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the AMD Radeon(TM) R6 Graphics.

Can someone please help me?

That is normal. Screen is the most hungry power on laptop therefore to save power it will automatically reduce brightness of screen. Please use the following  way to set this up  (Windows 10):

On Step 3, your machine may not have all options for Display.

Regards.
