I've been trying to connect my Pavilion X2 to a projector using a HDMI cable. The projector is seen as an additional screen by the computer, but nothing is showing on it except a message saying 'no signal input'. I was trying the various multiple screen options in the display settings and selected the projector (rather than multiple or extended). My computer screen immediately went black. It returns if I unplug the HDMI cable, but then I can no longer select the multiple screen options to change back to a multiple setting.
Please can anyone tell me how to reset the multiple display setting without having the additional screen plugged in, or otherwise solve the issue?

Dear Jeet Singh,
Many thanks for your reply and assistance. My apologies for the delay in my reply, I have spent many hours trying to sort out this problem.
I have now resolved the issue. It turns out that I have been using a brand new HDMI cable which is defective, and although it identifies the connected screen, it doesn't send any information to it. All I needed was to change the cable.
Once again, many thanks for your input.
Regards,
John
