I have isolated the issue to the touch pad when I move the cursor to an input field, the screen will go black. I can then touch the screen and it will come back. If I use the touch screen for all navigation there are no issues. I updated all the drivers and still the problem persists. The issue started after a windows 11 update. I'm unable to roll back to a prior windows version on my system.

I have the identical problem. Started a couple of weeks ago. Happens every time I shut down or it goes to sleep. Starts up with all the flashing the first time I do anything to the screen. Doesn't matter if I use mouse, touchpad or screen. Way around it is to hold the power button until it shuts down completely then immediately turn it back on. Works fine after doing this.

I'm having the same issue for about a year now.... Hoping software updates would fix the issue, but it seems to be a hardware thing
I have had an HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs3xxx since 2020 I want to say, which I purchased at Costco. At first, the mouse pad gave me problems, so I returned it and was given a new one. This new one gave me mouse pad issues within the first year. It would stop working at times until one day it fully stopped working. It will work sometimes for about 5-10 seconds and then it stops working. In the second year in, the keyboard sometimes did not work. The keyboard does still function, but at times, I have to restart my computer, so the keyboard works again.
Last year, my computer began with a screen flickering. I have run Microsoft antivirus as well as McAfee and they both say that my device is good on ZERO viruses. I have run multiple time the hp troubleshoot and it never detects anything. Took it to IT last week and they did the external monitor test. It was projecting fine in the external monitor, mouse pad not working as usual, but then the keyboard stopped working. They said it is most likely the motherboard. I think it's an overall issue with this model and they should definitely do a recall and fix the issue in this model.
