I've bought the laptop just a few days ago and I was pretty much happy with its performance until I started having video calls. I have those on a regular basis since it's an important part of my job so I noticed at once that performance significantly dropped down in any video host I used (Skype, Zoom, Google Meet) which resulted in freezing, low video quality and even abruption of the call. Moreover, during the call the entire systems starts working poorly including file explorer and any other applications I'd try to use.
I'm positive that it has nothing to do with the Internet, because a) I have a wonderful Internet connection (more than 150 mbps) b) the system itself starts freezing. Naturally, I opened the task manager to check the performance and I was shocked to see that CPU is used at 98-100%. At the same time, when I turn off a video call it gets back to its 30-40%. I've updated all the drivers, I checked the antivirus, I cleared cache, I reinstalled and updated the video hosts, I did everything I could think of but it didn't fix the problem.
I would be very grateful if anyone could consult me on that. I really need this laptop for video calls and it's kind of a matter of utmost important
Thank you
Artem

Hello!
I did everything you've recommended. But it didn't help at all. CPU still picks up for no reason and everything is freezing (I'm attaching the screenshots of the performance, notice that only Google Meet, the Browser and task manager are in use).
Could it be the defect of the model? Because my girlfriend has, literally, the same model of HP and she's experiencing the same problems. We both bought our laptops a few weeks ago. They're basically brand new.
