For no apparent reason, my graphics card crashed, got black screens for a while, and then it reset to the other intel graphics card.
The original NVIDIA Card seems to have disappeared altogether, which is very annoying.
It also doesn't allow me to reinstall drivers, as it does not recognize the existence of a card at all:
Tried all the obvious, although I must say that installing new drivers just does not work, as NVIDIA and HP seem to think there is no graphics card.
Furthermore, the 2nd (HP) Display over HDMI does not work anymore, which I also do nu understand, the Intel Graphics card should be able to do that right?
Any help is most welcome. Unfortunately, you cannot exchange Graphics cards in a laptop, otherwise that would be my way to go. Without a second screen, a laptop is rather useless, dont know what to do....

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for the answer, however, it did not help me.
I am very dissapointed in Windows, Technology and this forum, that there seems to be no other way than reinstalling windows completely, after such a clear problem.
Windows can only tell you: there was some minor crash we do not understand at ... time.
Afterwards you can slowly find out the graphics card dissappeared alltogether.
And than there is no solution more specific to the problem than reinstalling Windows?
And even that does not help...
I only want to know if my card crashed beyond repair, how is there not a simple check for that?
and also, why does my graphicscard crash for no reason and with no proper error message at all...
