Hi all,
Using a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy0xxx laptop with Windows 11 22H2 (OS Build 22621.3007) and the touchpad doesn't work. Device manager shows this. Already tried so many things including resetting the laptop (keeping files option) but still the touchpad is not working.
HP can you please take note and respond? I see many other people complaining about ELAN driver problems.
Thanks!

It's really weird, sometimes the touchpad works again by itself without any changes in the driver. Suspect this is really some quality issue with certain batch of HP laptops. Contacted HP and was quoted >USD100 to fix this post warranty, forget it will just use it as it is and rely on an external mouse. Hope this helps others facing this same frustrating issue.

same for me. I tried Norton /Driver updater. It found something to update and the touchpad worked for a few minutes but then it stopped. I suspect there is a i/o conflict. I agree with the suggestion that it effects a group of laptops. I sent my first one in for a broken left hinge. It was repaired under warranty on the last month of the warranty. They returned a refurbished unit that seemed like new until I ran the windows update. After the update the touchpad stopped working. I've contacted HP but I suspect it is now considered out of warranty so they don't even respond.

Found another fix for our Elan Touchpad problem. I installed UBUNTU Linux. The touchpad worked from the initial install. I did not have to chase any driver or software or anything. There has been a note that there are three firmware updates available, one of them is for the Elan Touchpad. I've ignored any update since it works fine. I have dual booting and when I go back to windows 11, the touchpad works. STRANGE.
