Wow... Just shocking how incredibly unhelpful HP is after my purchase. The "HP Expert" on the Walmart website tells me the G3 pen works so I go buy it and of course it does not work, Bluetooth connects but no writing. Tech support does not know either which is even more surprising. I purchased this for my kid because they advertised it in such a way that it looks like it works with a pen yet HP offers no information regarding this. I didn't think i'd have to jump through so may hoops and of course now have buyers remorse.

The pen listed below works100%. HP support is useless and they don't even know their own products, it's shameful. I couldn't get a firm answer so I tried a few until I found this one, It works perfectly. You would think they would put some effort into selling the correct accessories but this is what happens when you outsource support to you know where....

Why is all that private information required to answer a simple product compatibility question? The only information you should need is the model number which is HP Envy 15.6" Full HD X360, 15-ds1010wm. This information is for everyone who purchases this model, no need for secrecy.

@Conner15-ds1010 That was a reaction to your shock in the first post you had created, that said, if you do not wish to speak to a supervisor about the same, I have no issues in helping you get that simple question sorted, in fact the best way to identify the same is by using this link: click here and ask the virtual assistant.
- they keyword is "stylus compatibility", if that doesn't work or the product isn't listed, it would mean the stylus is not supported.
Keep us posted,
If you would like to thank us for our efforts to help you,
Give us a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below, followed by clicking on the "Accept as solution" on this post,
Have a great day!

The virtual assistant is as useless as tech support... You guys still cant just give a clear answer, wow...
I will just have to purchase an assortment of pens from HP/Amazon until I find the correct one.
Thanks for nothing...

@Conner15-ds1010 As I mentioned, if the product isn't listed in the virtual assistant, it means the device does not support a stylus,
I recommend making use of a passive stylus:
here's all you need to know about it:
- A passive stylus (also known as capacitive stylus) functions the same as your finger on the screen.
- Passive styluses do not require batteries, and they work on any touch screen device.
I hope you have a good day,
Take care.

@Dmcbride13 If you have the same exact product as the OP, as mentioned here, in the below message that's highlighted, it is not supported.

Connor, you’re the man, thank you very much. I’ve purchased the laptop and the stylus today. I’ll follow up later this week when they arrive. Do you mind if I ask how the laptop and stylus are so far? Obviously in the same boat dealing with HP, but the laptop seemed like a steal, and as a teacher expecting to work/record from home it was tough to pass up.
