OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck1000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

Off the bat - the two Dell monitors connected to the G5 dock by DisplayPort- connected to my HP Zbook Firefly by the single USB-C from the G5 dock- works just fine.

I can't get the same setup to work on my OMEN 17t-ck100. I tried Windows + P and Extend. Checked the BIOS on startup for a limit setting. Updated the drivers that I could think of.

The USB-C port seems to be working. I'm typing on a wireless logi keyboard through the dock. The startup BIOS checks didn't flag any issues when running the various diagnostics.

Any suggestions?

The OMEN 17t-ck100 is NOT compatible with HP USB-C G5 dock. Full stop.

Any solutions for a docking station that will work for both monitors via DP? The HDMI port will run one monitor, but I would prefer to have both.

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter
