Pavilion 14-ce0002nj
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi.
I have a problem connecting to an external display via USB type C port. I have 3 different cables usb c to usb c, but every one doesn't work. When connecting, i have popup message "Connection Limited".
I checked all the cables on the Samsung Galaxy smartphone, they work fine.

from the specifications for this model :
1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge)
HP Pavilion 14-ce0002nj.
Product number: 4AU10EA.
Thanks.

@Korj I'm afraid USB Type-C to USB Type-C only works when there's thunderbolt feature available on the device,

As per your product specifications: click here to verify, there's no thunderbolt on your device, you will need to make use of a converter/adapter to connect the USB Type-C to a Display port, etc.

@Korj To confirm you are using one USB Type-C cable with a external monitor that supports a display port and it isn't working, is that right? If yes, I suggest you update the BIOS and Chipset drivers using this link:

Click here to find and install the same once done, restart the pc and also, go through this article to understand how the Type-C works: click here

Hi Riddle_Decipher.

Thanks for your answer.

I have LG Display with USB-Type C DisplayPort. I want to connect directly from usb-c to usb-c.

BIOS already updated to the latest version, F.21 Rev.A.

I can't install the latest version of Chipset drivers from HP Support resource, because the drivers from HP for Windows 10 v1903, but I have v1909.  I tried to install the drivers from Intel, but it isn't help.

Any more solutions ?

Thanks.
